This evergreen hiking track leads you to attractive ethnic settlements while also meeting your yearning to be close to the snowcapped massifs of Kanchenjunga. It takes a short hiking period so, it can be done at any time of year, and does not require any prior knowledge. It is one of the best short and easy walks in the Himalayan range, providing panoramic views of the stunning Himalayan range while going through beautiful woodlands (especially rhododendron woodland) and intriguing settlements.

Dhaulagiri (8091m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), the virgin mountain-Machapuchhare (fishtail), II, III, IV, and south, Tukuche peak, Nilgiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, and other peaks may be seen on this walk. You may also witness, among other things, the world’s deepest valley, produced by the Kali Gandaki River between Dhaulagiri and the Rhododendron forest, and attractive ethnic communities with traditional houses.

The Poon Hill Sunrise Trek begins after a short scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Then you follow the Modi River’s bank till Ghorepani.

One of the trek’s main attractions is the spectacular sunrise over the Himalayan mountains, which can be witnessed from Poon Hill (3210m). Ghandruk Village has luxury lodgings and teahouses, while Tikhedunda and Tadapani include comfortable common restrooms and washing machines. These well-managed lodges and teahouses provide the best rooms and food. All this warm hospitality allows you to forget about your long day on the trail. The beauty and comfort in this area are unbeatable.

We’ll arrive at Syaulibazar after 2 hours of descending from Ghandruk. Our hike finishes when we arrive at Nayapul, from where we will return to Pokhara. This entire vacation will have a particular place in your heart. You will value these experiences and want to repeat them.

We eat breakfast early in the morning and prepare to drive to Pokhara. Pokhara, located 204 kilometers west of Kathmandu, is a natural beauty and the gateway to our trekking. We drive along the highway, which passes through several lovely towns and follows the river for the most part. It takes about 7 hours to arrive in Pokhara from Kathmandu. We can take leisurely strolls around the tranquil lakeside once we arrive in Pokhara.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedunga (Stay Overnight)

We drive for about an hour and a half to Nayapul, where the trekking begins. We are starting a five-hour walk to Tikhedhunga. Our walk today is relatively easy because it does not involve any extreme uphill or downhill walking and instead follows a road for the majority of the distance. We begin by walking along Modi Khola, a river that flows from the Sanctuary until we reach Birethanti and cross it over a bridge. We head left after checking into the Conservation Area Project office for trekking in the area.

Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani

We prepare for two hours of steep uphill stair climbing to Ulleri. After two hours of hard work, we arrive at Ulleri and get our first glimpse of the snow-capped mountain for the day. The trail now becomes somewhat less steep. We arrive in Ghorepani after about seven hours of trail navigation. A breathtaking view of the Himalayas from Ghorepani makes us forget about the exhaustion of our trek.

Day 06: Trek to Poonhill and Tadapani (Stay Overnight)

We have an early start today because we are hiking to Poon Hill for sunrise and a better view of the mountains. We bring flashlights, dress warmly for the morning temperature, and begin hiking up towards Poon Hill through the rhododendron forest. We are astounded by the panoramic view of the and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges when we reach the top of the hill. We take in the stunning scenery and wait for another marvel. The magical sunrise over the Himalayas gives us the energy and zeal to embark on the day's adventure walk.

Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk Overnight stay in Lodge

Today is a beautiful day for a trek through a lush forest to Ghandruk. Before arriving in Ghandruk for an overnight stay, about four hours of easy trail traverse provide a beautiful natural walking experience. We will arrive early in the afternoon, giving us plenty of time to explore the beauty of this typical ethnic Gurung village. We can enjoy the spectacular view of the mountains, the surrounding nature, and the village culture.

Day 08: Trek Back to Pokhara Via Nayapul

Today is the last day of our trek, and we will descend to Nayapul. Starting right after breakfast with a view, we descend the trail closer to the Modi Khola bank and continue our walk along the river to Birethanti. We check out of the Conservation Area when we arrive in Birethanti. We continue walking to Nayapul. We board a vehicle waiting to transport us to Pokhara. We will return to the beautiful city of Pokhara in about an hour and a half.

Day 09: Drive back to Kathmandu, Check in at the hotel

We board the bus early in the morning, after breakfast, to return to Kathmandu. Our return to Kathmandu is after a seven-hour bus journey. When we arrive in Kathmandu, we check into a hotel and spend the rest of the day at our leisure. This evening is set aside for a farewell dinner. Once we arrive in Kathmandu, we will notify you of the departure time for dinner.
